  I recently had a very positive experience with this O'Shea Funeral Home. While my dad had grown up on L.I., he was in a nursing home facility in N.C. It was his wish to be buried with his parents in our family plot. Nearly two years ago, I contacted the funeral director at this facility to pre-pay the expenses for my dad's arrangements. When it became evident that the end was near, I contacted the funeral director and he made sure the necessary arrangements were in place when the end came. At that point, it just took a phone call to put the plan in motion and dad's pickup took place promptly. In that I was in N.C., they worked with me on being able to have the services a week later. The staff I worked with were very professional and did an outstanding job preparing dad, setting up the room for the viewing, coordinating services with the church, and arranging for a military honor guard at the cemetery. Their support was much appreciated during a very sad point in time.

  We live out of town so we were unable to attend the recent funeral for the mother of a very good friend. We ordered flowers directly from the funeral home and asked for a full spray of flowers. I was totally embarrassed when our friends sent us a picture of the what we got for $150. The flowers looked just pitiful. This was very disappointing and I would suggest if you need to order flowers for your loved one or friend to use FTD, Not O'shea Funeral Home!
